About the role
Help design the compilation techniques behind Weylattice, the QuantGates hardware-aware quantum compiler. This role spans circuit transformations, gate synthesis, qubit mapping and routing, with an emphasis on understanding why a particular compilation sequence performs well for a given processor.
You will translate research ideas into measurable compiler passes, testing them against realistic quantum circuits and target hardware constraints.
In this role, you will
- Develop and evaluate optimization, synthesis, layout, routing and scheduling techniques for quantum circuits.
- Build benchmarking methods that compare circuit depth, two-qubit gate counts and hardware-aware objectives.
- Investigate how different native gate sets, coupling maps and hardware constraints influence compilation decisions.
- Collaborate across research and engineering to turn algorithms into reliable compiler components.
What we are looking for
- Strong Python skills and practical experience with Qiskit, TKET, Cirq or comparable quantum SDKs.
- Solid foundation in quantum circuits, linear algebra and algorithmic optimization.
- Experience benchmarking or implementing nontrivial research software.
Also valuable
- Research experience in quantum compilation, gate synthesis, graph algorithms or compiler design.
